Fayetteville Black Pride
Southern Pride (Fayetteville Black Pride) is a non profit organization based in the heart of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Founded by Alvernian Rafeek Davis & Benjamin McDaniel. The purpose of Southern Pride is to increase access to health and wellness services in our LGBT community, improve relations between “straight and “gay” communities and increase safe spaces for the youth. Our annual Pride weekend will bring together community based organizations, education/medical based institutions, and people from across the country to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our Southern community.
Southern Pride stands on the principles on non violence and creating an outlet in the lives of the LGBT community we serve.
