Thousands gather at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place in Kalamazoo each June to celebrate Kalamazoo Pride. The 2-day festival commemorates the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, an uprising that marked the beginning of the movement to end discriminatory laws and practices against LGBTQIA+ Americans.
