The Bloomfield Garden Club
June 12 @ 15:00 - 17:00 EDT
One event on 13. June 2021 at 3:00pm
TD Projects (Tina Dillman, independent artist and curator) is launching the second season of The Bloomfield Garden Club (BGC), a monthly salon highlighting local and regional artists working in dance, music, comedy, literary, visual, and/or performance art this June. The season will begin with our first Visiting Artist in Residence, Rachel Rampleman (NYC), who will be documenting a slice of the local drag scene for an ongoing project of hers, Life is Drag, with assistance from community partners Kelly Strayhorn Theater and the Blue Moon, and collaborator/artist Scott Andrew.
The videos that Rachel creates will premiere at Bunker Projects (outside in their back lot), along with live drag performances on Sat/Sun June 12 & 13, 3-5pm. The final line up of performers for the BGC will include on June 12: Kierra Darshell, Luna Plexus & Cindy Crotchford and on Sunday June 13: Pissy Mattress, Maxi Pad & Azizzy. Each performer will take the stage for a live performance in front of a small audience, followed by a Q&A with the audience, and in between performances guests will be able to watch the videos Rachel created, while enjoying homemade libations and mingling with other guests.
A limited number of tickets are now available for purchase on a sliding scale, $10-25. Also available, if you would like to attend the entire season of the BGC, a limited number of memberships (includes 1 ticket per month, June-October) are also available on a sliding scale, $50-$125.
