A group of passionate activists formed Fernandina Beach Pride, Inc. with the aim to recognize and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Fernandina Beach. The first Fernandina Beach Gay Pride Weekend was held on June 8th and 9th, 2019. The weekend included a Saturday parade, a daylong festival, and Sunday faith services throughout the community. This was just the beginning of many future celebrations, activities, events, and outreach efforts to honor and support the LGBTQ+ community.
