Silicon Valley Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The event originated as a gay rights rally in 1975 and transformed into the San Jose Pride Festival in 1976.
The name of the annual LGBTQ+ celebration in San Jose was changed to Silicon Valley Pride in 2014 to promote harmony among neighbouring cities. It has now become the biggest Pride festival in the South Bay and welcomes everyone to participate in the festivities.
